A story of Katope

By Mwl.  Yahaya Mdidima

Once upon a time, there was an indigenous woman who lived in near village called Malatu with his only lovely young son named Katope.

Malatu was a small village surrounded by lush green forests and tall mountains.

The village was known for its beautiful scenery and refreshing rainfall.

One day, Katope was playing Far away from their house with group of other children.

He noticed that the clouds were getting darker, and the wind was blowing and picking up.

He knew that it was going to rain soon. So, he ran back to his house.

As he was running back home, the rain started pouring down heavily.

He heard his mother calling him tearfully and crying.

Song: -

Na Katope tila tila nnee x 2

tila maunde x 2

Manyi ngwika ndendeule mbe - nkwika nneee!!! x 2

tila maunde x 2

He tried harder and harder, but he could not run fast because the rain was very heavy.

Poor Katope!!, fell and washed away by the running water.
